Harper is just a normal girl. She has parents, a perfect boyfriend, and the perfect life. Her dad works for a company that invented Memtex. Memtex is a painless procedure that you can get to erase any painful memory. Before, only adults could get the procedure. People already think it shouldn't be legal, but then they make it available to teens. Harper is always overcrowded with reporters asking her opinion on her father and Memtex.
When Harper's horse dies, she wants to get the procedure to get the sad memory erased. Her father won't allow it but she finds a way to get it. After getting the procedure, she has strange symptoms. Her boyfriend Josh wants to help, but they are growing apart.
Things start to not make sense about her past. She's confronted by a reporter that wants to know more about the procedure, and he knows she had the procedure. Nobody knew about the procedure except her and Josh. Things aren't adding up.
This book is romantic and adventurous while being humorous all at the same time. It is one of my favorite books!
